Privacy Policy — 1024 (Merge Puzzle)
Last updated: August 2, 2026
This app ("1024", "the app") is developed by Kfir Kahanov ("we", "us"), established in Israel. This policy explains what data is collected when you use the app, why, who it's shared with, and the choices and rights you have over it.
1. Data we store on your device only
The app stores the following locally on your device only, via Android Jetpack DataStore, and never transmits it to us (we operate no backend server or account system of our own):
- Best score, coin balance, owned cosmetic themes, ad-removal purchase status.
- Purchase tokens already credited with coins (used only to prevent double-crediting the same purchase twice; not a payment credential and never transmitted anywhere by the app itself).
- Sound/haptics/selected-theme settings.
- Daily login day counter and rewarded-ad watch history (used to run the login-bonus calendar).
- Your in-progress game board (so you can resume a game after closing the app).
This data is deleted automatically if you uninstall the app or clear its storage in Android Settings, and is included in Android's standard backup/device-transfer mechanism (so it can carry over to a new device the normal Android way) unless you've disabled that at the OS level.
2. Who we share data with
The only third parties this app shares any data with are the Google services it directly integrates:
- Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) — serves ads and, where applicable, requests your ad-consent choice via Google's User Messaging Platform (see section 3).
- Google Play Billing — processes in-app purchases.
This app does not use any ad mediation network (Google/AdMob is the only ad network integrated), does not use any separate analytics SDK, and does not use any crash-reporting SDK beyond whatever is built into Google Play services itself. We do not sell data to, or share data with, any other company, advertiser, or data broker beyond Google as described here.
3. Advertising, consent, and your ad-choices controls (Google Mobile Ads SDK / AdMob)
This app shows banner, interstitial, and rewarded video ads via Google's Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob). Before requesting any ad, the app runs Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent flow. If you're in the EEA, UK, or another region where consent is required, UMP shows you a consent form before any ad is requested and lets you choose whether to allow personalized advertising; outside those regions, this happens automatically with no prompt. You can revisit or change your choice at any time from Settings → Privacy & Ad Choices in the app, which reopens UMP's consent-options form.
To serve and measure ads, the AdMob SDK automatically collects and shares with Google:
- Device or other IDs: your Android Advertising ID and app set ID, used for ad personalization (only if you've consented), analytics, and fraud prevention. You can also reset or opt out of ad personalization for this identifier at any time in your device's Settings > Privacy > Ads.
- Approximate location: derived from IP address, used for advertising and analytics.
- App activity: interactions with ads and the app (e.g. taps, video views), used for advertising and analytics.
- App info and performance: SDK/app performance diagnostics (e.g. crashes, launch time), used for analytics and fraud prevention.
All data collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit. See Google's own disclosure for details, and Google's Privacy Policy.
As a result of ad serving, third parties (including Google) may place and read cookies on your device, or use web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers, to collect information as part of ad delivery and measurement. See How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps for details.
4. In-app purchases (Google Play Billing Library)
If you buy Remove Ads or a coin pack, the purchase is processed entirely by Google Play's billing system — we never see or store your payment method (card number, etc.). The app receives only the product ID and purchase confirmation needed to grant your purchase (removing ads, or crediting coins), which is stored locally on your device alongside the other data described in section 1. Google Play's own privacy policy governs the payment processing itself.
5. Your rights under GDPR (EEA/UK users)
Where GDPR applies to you, the legal basis for any ad-related personal data processing described in section 3 is your consent, obtained through the UMP consent flow described there. You have the right to:
- Access the personal data processed about you.
- Rectification of inaccurate personal data.
- Erasure ("right to be forgotten") of your personal data.
- Restriction of processing in certain circumstances.
- Data portability, where technically feasible.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw your consent to ad personalization at any time, with no effect on the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal — via Settings → Privacy & Ad Choices in the app, or your device's Settings > Privacy > Ads.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
Because this app stores your gameplay/settings data only locally on your device (section 1), most of these rights over that data are exercised directly by you on-device (view it by using the app; correct it by changing settings in-app; erase it by clearing app storage or uninstalling). For data processed by Google as described in sections 3–4, these rights are exercised directly with Google via the tools and contact channels in Google's own Privacy Policy — we do not hold a separate copy of that data to act on your request ourselves. To reach us about anything in this policy: [email protected].
6. Your rights under CCPA/CPRA (California users)
For California residents, this app may collect the following categories of personal information, as described in more detail in sections 1 and 3: identifiers (advertising ID, app set ID), internet/network activity (app and ad interactions, approximate location derived from IP), and commercial information (purchase history via Play Billing). Sharing your advertising identifier with Google for personalized-ad purposes (section 3) is considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under CPRA. You have the right to opt out of this sharing at any time — Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: use Settings → Privacy & Ad Choices in the app (backed by Google's UMP privacy-options form) to opt out of personalized-ad data sharing, or opt out of ad personalization directly in your device's Settings > Privacy > Ads. This is a real, functioning opt-out mechanism, not just a policy statement.
7. Children / COPPA
This app is general-audience: a generic number-merging puzzle game with no content, characters, or marketing specifically directed at children, and is not part of Google Play's Families program. The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has used this app and provided us information, contact us at [email protected] and we will investigate and take appropriate action (noting that, per section 1, this app itself does not operate any account system or server-side data store to delete data from — any such action would be coordinated with Google for the ad-related data described in section 3).
8. Data retention
Data described in section 1 (local device storage) is retained on your device until you uninstall the app or clear its storage — we hold no server-side copy to separately retain or delete. Data collected by Google's Mobile Ads SDK and Play Billing (sections 3–4) is retained according to Google's own retention practices.
9. International data transfers
Data collected by the Google SDKs this app integrates (sections 3–4) is processed on Google's servers, which may be located in the United States or other countries outside your own. For EEA/UK users, Google's processing of this data is covered by Google's own compliance mechanisms, including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, Standard Contractual Clauses, and/or applicable adequacy decisions, as described in Google's Privacy Policy. This app does not itself operate any servers, so no data described in section 1 leaves your device at all.
10. Security
Data described in section 1 stays on your device, protected by Android's standard per-app storage sandboxing. Data transmitted to Google via the SDKs described in sections 3–4 is encrypted in transit (TLS). We do not operate any server infrastructure of our own, so there is no developer-controlled server, database, or account system to secure or that could itself be breached — the attack surface for any data this app touches is either your own device (protected by Android's OS-level sandboxing) or Google's own infrastructure.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, e.g. to reflect changes in the app's features or the SDKs it integrates. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy; if a change is material, we'll make reasonable efforts to bring it to your attention (e.g. via the app's store listing).
12. Your choices — summary
- Change your ad-consent choice at any time: Settings → Privacy & Ad Choices (in-app).
- Reset your Android Advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization: your device's Settings > Privacy > Ads.
- Remove all locally-stored app data: uninstall the app, or clear its storage in Android Settings.
